BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE NATURE AND FUNCTION/SERVICES OF THE OFFICE:

  1. Act as custodian of properties and equipment’s of the Local Government Unit.
  • Formulate measures for the consideration of the Sangguniang Bayan and provide technical assistance and support to the Municipal Mayor in carrying out measures to ensure the delivery of basic services and provision of adequate facilities which require general services expertise and technical support services;
  • Develop plans and strategies and, upon approval thereof by the Municipal Mayor, implement the same, particularly those which have to do with general services supportive of the welfare of the inhabitants of the Municipality which the Mun. Mayor is empowered to implement and which the Sangguniang Bayan is empowered to provide;
  • Take custody of and be accountable for all properties, real or personal, owned by the Municipal and those granted to it in the form of donation, reparation, assistance and counterpart of joint projects;
  • With the approval of the Mun. Mayor, assign building or land space to local officials or other public officials who, by law, are entitled to such space;
  • Recommend to the Mun. Mayor the reasonable rental rates for the city properties, whether real or personal, which will be leased to public or private entities by the Municipality;
  • Maintain and supervise janitorial, security, landscaping and other related services in all city government buildings and other real property, whether owned or leased by the Municipality;
  • Collate and disseminate information regarding prices, shipping and other costs of supplies and other items commonly used by the Municipality;
  • Perform archival and record management with respect to records of offices and departments of the Municipal Government;
  • Be in the frontline of general services related activities, such as the possible or imminent destruction or damage to records, supplies, properties, and structures and the orderly and sanitary clearing up of waste materials or debris, particularly during and in the aftermath of man-made and natural disasters and calamities;
  • Recommend to the Sangguniang Bayan and advise the Mun. Mayor on all other matters relative to general services; and Exercise such other powers and perform such other duties and functions as may be prescribed by law or ordinance.

Functional Statement

Formulate measures for the consideration of the Sanggunian and provide technical assistance and support to the Municipal Mayor in carrying out measures to ensure the delivery of basic services and provision of adequate facilities which require general services expertise and technical support services; Develop plans and strategies and upon approval thereof by the Municipal Mayor, implement the same, particularly those which have to do with general services supportive of the welfare of the inhabitants which the Municipal Mayor is empowered to implement and which the Sanggunian is empowered to provide for under this Code.
 

Functions of the Administrative Division:

  1. Supervise and coordinate administrative functions, personnel and general services of the Office of the Municipal General Services Officer;
  2. Has responsible charge for all administrative works of the Office;
  3. Takes custody and safekeeping of all records for all properties of the Municipal Government of Bagumbayan Sultan Kudarat.

Functions of the Property and Supply Section:

  1. Performs work involving the determination of fiscal requirement  of supplies and materials needed by the Municipal Government;
  2.  Collate and  update prevailing prices, shipping, rentals and other costs of supplies and other items commonly used by the Municipal Government of Bagumbayan Sultan Kudarat;
  3.  Develop and formulate policy on Inventory of supplies and properties and conduct inventory annually or semi-annually;
  4. Conduct inspection of all supplies and materials delivered, tags  and record the same, and prepare Property Issue Slip to the Department Head or Officer-in-charge and Memorandum Receipt to end-user;
  5. Assist in providing technical assistance and support to the Municipal GSO;
  6. Register all Vehicles of the Municipal Government of Bagumbayan Sultan Kudarat at the LTO and insure the same at the GSIS.
  7. Formulate a Systematic Assets Management in the Municipal Government of Bagumbayan Sultan Kudarat;
  8. Prepare simple program of works, bill of materials and cost estimates for every maintenance work to be undertaken;
  9. Establish a proper identification and classification of unserviceable properties in accordance with existing Commission on Audit regulations and disposal thereof.

Functions of the General Utility Services Unit:

  1. Supervise maintenance and janitorial works in the Municipal Government buildings and surroundings;
  2. Provision of services for carpentry works, plumbing, electrical, reproduction of forms, preventive and corrective maintenance  services and other related services that maybe assigned by the Supervisor;
  3. Report for any properties to be repaired and need to be cleaned immediately.
